It’s the brand new and more prestigious FIA world endurance championship and the car is already built and ready so it’s just a waste not to use it. Peugeot are basically handing Audi the championship before it’s even begun and puts all of their top drivers in a very difficult position to find new drives in time. Guys like Anthony Davidson, Sebastian Bourdais and the others should have a competitive drive but I’m not sure where they’re going to find one at short notice.
