I was initially a bit sceptical of motion comics, but after seeing this, I’m definitely impressed. It probably says a bit about my poor attention span, but I was really able to get more into the story when I saw the animation and was able to digest it at the pace that is set for me.
That’s not to say I didn’t understand or enjoy the story before, but I feel like this can give me...
Why does flash player crash so much now?
On my macbook it’s been especially bad but it’s been happening on the pc too now so I don’t really get it. It’s also in every browser I’ve used, not just one or two.
I downloaded the rotten tomatoes app and it’s pretty cool. I’ve been wanting to get into watching more movies and maybe this is the first step towards that.
Now I just need to actually get in the mood to watch one. I have the same problem with comics where I have to force myself to start Reading every time, but then get into it almost straight away.
Report: Modern Warfare 2 PC U.S. Retail Sales... →
If there’s constantly a number around 100k people online at any one time, and clearly not anywhere close to half the owners of the game will be online. This means that the Steam version must have sold considerably more than retail.
Either that, or modern warfare PC players don’t do anything else and they’re all constantly online.
Ok so maybe that’s possible, but I think...
Champions Online Trial Version
I downloaded it from Steam tonight. It is the full version of the game technically, but you’re capped at level 15. This is pretty generous though considering most trials are timed rather then level based, or both.
I enjoyed what I’ve played so far, and actually felt more at home with the xbox 360 controller but it seems to work well. I can’t really see this as something I would...

This sounds interesting. It’s most likely some kind of additional social features being brought to the existing Playstation Network setup.

Totally agree, and he didn’t even mention that there are no LBP avatars. Ridiculous.

Great news for F1. I’m glad all three Toyota drivers from last year are back in 3 different teams.
Wow, a great DSiWare game

This week Wii gets a big boost and PSP 3000 continues very strongly. The PSPgo, at this rate could be outsold by the PS2 next week. Perhaps Sony should just take it off the market entirely. As we saw with PS3, once a system’s image has been tarnished, it’s hard to get the trust back with consumers and really recover fully.
Who Put Out The Most Good Video Games In 2009? -... →
I do like the new IGN design and logo. The only problem is because the site is so huge and does so much, it’s practically impossible for them to make it completely easy to navigate and find things. It’s really the same with any site that updates a lot, things just get buried so fast that it can be easy to miss things and hard to find later.
Overall though, they did a good job. I just...
I’ve been playing Dirt 2 on PC the last couple of days and I love it.
Full review on 3DG soon.
inFAMOUS Now $39.99 + Gigawatt Blades Coming Free... →
Great news. I’ve been wanting to go back to inFamous for a while now but kept getting distracted with other games. This should give me the motivation to go back if the gigawatt blades come to the UK store.
Thoughts on F1 Driver / Team Situation
At the moment it’s a bit up in the air as far as which teams are staying, which ones are going and which new ones are entering, and therefore how many driver spots are available for each team.
The FIA published a list of the 12 teams to be confirmed for next year. The list contained everyone you would hope would be there except Sauber, which has since been confirmed.
Two teams also...

I wonder what we’ll see on the avatar service next? I mean there’s still got to be a million other relatively pointless objects / living things that they could add for a quick buck.
Andy Murray and Kim Sears split over... →
I’m sure there’s got to be more to this than just gaming, because if she really loved him, and because they’ve been together for a long time, you would think a small thing like that could be compromised over.
In the end it comes down to compromise, or the lack of it.
FIFA 10 Continues Record Sales Pace - ''Ultimate... →
Where have I seen this before? Fifa 09 maybe?
I mildly get that they released ultimate team as DLC for the last fifa, but to release the same DLC for each game is surely going way overboard. How can people stand for this much shafting?

Tony Hawk: Ride Review: Time To Bail - Kotaku →
To quote the reviewer Michael Fahey:
“During one of my play sessions with Tony Hawk: Ride, my girlfriend looked up from her random knitting and said, “It’s a pity you can’t play it with the regular controller. It looks fun.” For me, that simple statement sums up everything that is wrong with the game.”
It couldn’t be said better.
If you comment on a site like Kotaku, you open yourself up to a stream of corrections and other comments. You have to know what you’re getting yourself in for, even if you try to cover all the bases and not upset anyone, you still manage to get into some debates. I wonder what would happen if you didn’t cover every angle. Would probably get ugly.
